Remembrance Day Parade 2018

Durham City’s 2018 Remembrance Parade was a significant event, marking the WW1 Centenary, with a large procession including military, uniformed organizations (like Scouts), and civilian services, proceeding from near the Cathedral to the Market Place for a 11 am two-minute silence at the War Memorial, with wreaths laid by dignitaries and groups. The event involved local regiments like The Rifles and even French Navy personnel, celebrating service and honouring the fallen with a special route past the DLI statue.
