The Durham City Freemen website has become an essential platform for documenting and celebrating the work of the Freemen. It delivers timely updates often published as events unfold and remains the most cost‑effective way to share information with both the public and our members, wherever they are in the world. Every day, it plays a central role in raising the profile of the Freemen.

Because of its importance, we are committed to continually developing the site so that it remains easy to manage, secure, and fit for the future.

Alongside the images courtesy of Geoff Kitson, we have also been fortunate to draw on the talents of George Oliver, a former trustee and now a Gentleman Freeman. George has produced the majority of our news articles, many of which have appeared not only on the website but also in the local press.
