Remembrance Day Parade 2024

Durham City’s 2024 Remembrance Day Parade on November 10th was a significant event, featuring hundreds of armed forces members, led by The Rifles and the Durham Army Cadet Force Band, marching through the city centre to commemorate sacrifices, with special significance around the 80th anniversaries of D-Day/Arnhem and the end of WWII, highlighted by a replica Spitfire on the route and illuminations across County Durham. The parade included a Service of Remembrance at the Cathedral, with public seating, and Armistice Day commemorations on November 11th at the DLI Memorial, celebrating the enduring bond between the city and its forces.
